Reminder: Annual FCC Regulatory Fees Due September 20, 2013

It’s September, which means that the annual FCC regulatory fees are coming due again. To aid our readers in complying with the reg fee obligation, we are posting here the FCC’s recent public notices outlining the details for making payment.

Regulatory fees must be paid no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time on September 20, 2013. Most federal licensees and other regulated entities must pay these regulatory fees to offset costs associated with the FCC’s enforcement, public service, international, policy, and rulemaking activities. Fee amounts change each year and vary by type of activity. Information about acceptable payment methods is available here. The Commission released fact sheets outline specific information about regulatory fees to be paid by Interstate Telecommunications Service Providers, Satellite Space Station Licensees, Earth Station Licensees, Commercial Wireless Services , Cable Television Relay Service (CARS) Licensees, and Media Service Licensees. Fees not paid by the due date are subject to a mandatory 25% late payment penalty.
