Communications Chair and Partner, John J. Heitmann will be speaking at “4 Years From Now” during Mobile World Congress, an annual event with over 80,00 attendees.Their session, What Just Happened?: The New U.S. Net Neutrality Rules and the Impact on Internet of Things, will cover a landmark order by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that will, for the first time, impose “common carrier” regulations on broadband providers, including strong net neutrality protections for consumers and startups. The FCC’s sweeping new rules will have a significant impact on the burgeoning Internet of Things market. Mr. Heitmann, who has been advocating before the FCC for over twenty years, will discuss the scope and impact of the new rules for carriers and startups that have launched or plan to launch connected devices in the U.S. This “fireside chat” style dialogue will include comparisons to net neutrality in other countries.
Their session will occur in the Audi Theatre, Fira de Barcelona, Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina, s/n 08004, Barcelona, Spain at 2 PM CET.
